The Baughn Media Group is a media placement agency which specializes in connecting our clients with the world’s most sought after consumers. BMG works closely with our clients to understand their goals and objectives. Based on that analysis, we customize a plan and execute their media buy with ROI and true value as our primary objective.

Having worked on both sides of the advertising buy (Agency and Publisher), we are well aware of how many clients grossly overpay for their media while leaving a great deal of added value opportunities on the table. We are able to calculate each publication’s “profit line” rate and determine what other top and like brands within our clients competitive set are paying for their media. With this insight and understanding, we can assure that our clients not only pay the lowest possible rates, but also receive premium positioning along with customized added value programs.

What We Do


STRATEGY AND RESEARCH

Based on our clients’ goals and objectives, we help them develop a general platform where can begin the planning process. It is crucial that we not only have a strong understanding of our clients’ business, but also of their consumer behaviors. Furthermore, we pride ourselves on providing competitive analysis so that we can fully understand what our clients’ competitors are doing and their industry trends. Every month we provide a detailed report of where our clients’ competitors are advertising, what products they are promoting, and how their program compares to our clients. We then cross reference that data with additional media vehicles that have a similar audience and could provide additional value to our clients.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Once we develop and conclude our research, we begin our strategic planning. This consist of budget allocation for all print, digital, outdoor, events, etc. We create a menu of media opportunities with our agency negotiated rates and showcase customized added value opportunities that are tailored to our clients goals and objectives. The Baughn Media Group team works very closely with our clients’ marketing department as we go through several different “mock buys” based on numerous planning scenarios. We also discuss positioning and competitive separation as we look to build our media program based on frequency and consistency.

MEDIA BUYING

Once the strategy is set, the Baughn Media Group negotiates with each individual media partner to maximize the value for our clients. On average, our clients pay 35% less than their competitors pay for the same advertising space while not sacrificing positioning, targeting, or any added value opportunities that we are able to tie to the campaign. Unlike other agencies, we do not negotiate on "scale" by leveraging our other clients spend levels. Instead, we negotiate on "scope" and with the intrinsic understanding of how the publishing and media industry works. With this, we are able to calculate what the true fair market value is for each campaign. From here, we manage every client's campaign separately to ensure that they receive unmatched service and value with a campaign that is tailored to achieve their goals and objectives.

PRODUCTION

Our production team is responsible for receiving the selected advertisement creative from the client and laying out the advertisement to the specifications of the individual magazine, newspaper, website, ect. Our production team verifies that the ads are built to proper specifications, laid out in the highest resolution, and then placed in the contracted placement. ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

The Baughn Media Group not only handles the strategy, planning, buying, and production for our clients, but we also manage the account as well. We take all incoming media request year round and provide weekly and monthly reports on new media opportunities for our clients. We are the vital link between our clients and their media partners making sure that all contracted media is produced and delivered to each media partner on time. Furthermore, we guarantee that the media purchased is also the correct advertisement, format, and language. Our planning team meets with the client on a monthly basis to verify that the goals and objectives have not changed and if so we work with our clients to adjust their strategy.
